The Problem
For years, churches and ministries have watched their insurance options shrink. Carriers that once served this space have pulled back or exited entirely. Leaving fewer choices, higher premiums, and less flexibility right when ministries need it most.
The areas hit hardest are often the ones that matter most: property and liability coverage, counseling services, and protections around child and vulnerable adult safety. As claims and lawsuits in these areas have grown more common and more costly, many insurers have simply decided the risk isn’t worth it, leaving churches to either pay significantly more or go without adequate coverage.
But the bigger problem isn’t just fewer options, it’s fewer people on the other side of the table who actually understand ministry. Dominion First was founded to give churches and ministries something they’d been missing: an insurance agency that actually understands ministry.
